Culinary
The KTC Culinary program will teach you food safety and sanitation, knife skills, making stocks and sauces, soups, running a restaurant and learning about the latest nutrition information. Learn hands-on basic to advanced cooking techniques and knife skills in less than 12 months from a real Chef.
The ServSafe Food Safety certification and two ManageFirst certifications are included in this full-time program. Experience hands-on real-world experience from line cook to dining room operations through the student-operated restaurant and state-of-the-art kitchen. Internship hours with local employers will reinforce your culinary skills to get the job you deserve!

Monday - Wednesday 1st Saturday of each month - Restaurant/Labs 5:30PM - 9:30PM |

- High School Diploma (transcript) or GED (transcript)
- Skill Assessment
- BEST test is required prior to skill assessment if English is a second language
The minimum requirements for consideration in the program include:
- Interview with the Coordinator
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES:
ServSafe® and ManageFirst (2 - Customer Service and Nutrition) credentials which lead to the ManageFirst Professional Credential through the National Restaurant Association. Certification in the field shows pride and competence in one’s profession.
