Practical Nursing

Practical nursing offers a rewarding career path focused on providing essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Practical nurses (LPNs/LVNs) perform a variety of tasks, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and offering compassionate support to patients in diverse healthcare settings like hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. This hands-on role allows individuals to make a direct and positive impact on the well-being of others, while enjoying stable employment and opportunities for professional growth.​

After completing this program you will be eligible to sit for the Ohio Board of Nursing NCLEX-PN licensure examination to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. The School of Nursing is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

• Program Length: 900 hrs / 12 months
• Class/Lab Meet: 3 days a week / 8:00 am - 4:00 pm / Clinical times vary
• Location: Extension Campus
