Live Fire Instructor

A live fire instructor is a highly skilled professional responsible for the safe and effective delivery of live fire training exercises which is a vital role in the fire service. They are responsible for conveying critical skills, and knowledge, in a controlled but realistic environment, while always ensuring the safety of all involved.  

• Program Length: 24 hrs / 5 days
• Class Meets: Mon & Wed / 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Location:  Extension Campus

Enrollment Requirements

• Must hold a current Ohio Firefighter Certification and a current Fire and Emergency Instructor certification to enroll
• Complete the process as outlined on the Enrollment page

Funding Options

• Students may be eligible for grants or scholarships 
• Federal financial aid is  not available for programs under 600 hours
