GED® / High School Diploma

If you left high school early or need additional skills before enrolling in college, we can help!

This option is:
  • FREE to qualifying students
  • Open to adults age 18 and older (Students who are 16 & 17 years old must have an official withdrawal documentation from their home school district or evidence of a high school diploma

Varies; we will help you for as long as you need it

After completing this program...

You will receive a GED® (General Equivalency Diploma) or High School Diploma issued by the Ohio Department of Education

Your Options:


GED® (General Equivalency Diploma)

You will take classes that usually cover math and writing skills, but we customize the material to fit your needs. There is no cost to you!
To qualify, you must:
  • Be age 18 or older (Students who are 16 & 17 years old must have an official withdrawal documentation from their home school district or evidence of a high school diploma)
  • Live in Ohio

Format:
  • In-person, online, and hybrid class formats available
  • All registration and testing takes place in the KTC building

To complete this program, you must:
  • Pass all 4 GED® subject tests

​Adult Diploma Program

Take one of our approved programs and earn your High School Diploma while you learn valuable job skills. There is no cost to you!
To qualify, you must:
  • Be age 20 or older
  • Live in Ohio
  • Not currently have a High School Diploma or HSE (High School Equivalency)
​Program options (most are completed in 6 months or less):
  • Certified Administrative Assistant
  • Maintenance Technician
  • Nail Technician
  • Phlebotomy
  • STNA (Nurse Aid)

​To complete this program, you must:
  • Pass the ACT WorkKeys with a combined score of 14
  • Complete the chosen skilled trade program, including the minimum 90%  attendance requirement
  • Pass the chosen skilled trade program's certification
