Course Prerequisite for EMS Instructor:
- Possesses a current and valid certificate to practice as an EMS provider issued under section 4765.30 of the revised code or holds a current and valid Ohio License to practice as a registered nurse or a physician assistant for at least five years out of the preceding seven years
- Successfully pass the EMS Knowledge test with (NREMT) within the preceding three years prior to the EMS module
- Must submit copy of your results
- Passes the practical examination for the individual's level of certification, within the preceding three years. The practical examination shall be administered under the auspices of an accredited institution (Knox Technical Center) prior to EMS module
After Completion of Class:
- Qualified EMS-I student must pass the Methodologies exam with at least 70%
- 10 hours of proctored teaching and evaluation
- 8 hours of the EMS module
