STNA (Nurse Aide Training Competency and Evaluation Program)

As a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) you deliver basic care to clients in long-term and home care settings, including hygiene, feeding, and activity. STNA certification is also the first step towards certification as a Practical Nurse.
Key Skills:
  • Basic knowledge and skills used to assist clients with activities of daily living
  • Ethical foundations of care delivery
  • Collaboration while working as a member of the health care team

Program length

76 hours (3 weeks)


After completing this program...

You will be eligible for Ohio STNA Testing and Certification through D&S Diversified

Enrollment Requirements

  • Complete the process as outlined on the enrollment page, including the additional forms listed for the Nursing programs
  • Negative 2-step Mantoux test OR result of a negative chest x-ray
  • Medical Release
  • BCI/FBI Background Check
  • Maroon Scrubs, black shoes and a watch (watch must have a second hand)

The Nurse Aide Training Competency and Evaluation Program is approved by the Ohio Department of Health. The program is also approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
